Grant Thank You
We would like to thank the Team at the New Anglia Growth Hub who helped us secure a grant as part of the East Suffolk Minimum Financial Assistance (MFA). The Grant process was straightforward and is based on East Suffolk putting up half of the investment for the equipment, the rest must come from the business though. The grant helped us purchase a Touchscreen PC, Point of Sale Software and Card reader system to help us improve customer service, track stock and it has really helped our business.
As part of the process of sourcing quotes, we found that it was quite daunting as you have a large range of options for point-of-sale systems. Many systems use Android based terminals, but we found that although the hardware cost was really good value, monthly rental costs were quite high, so went for a Windows based system from Everything EPOS, based in Worcestershire who helped us tailor the software, thermal printer and card reader for a one-off cost.
On the PC side, we used Stonefirst based in Derbyshire who supplied a reconditioned Windows 11 PC and till drawer designed for simple point of sales systems. On setting-up, we managed to get great help from both Everything EPOS and Stonefirst and got everything up and running with phone support without incurring must additional except a specific printer cable, which was fantastic.
